“Okay seriously — who would wear this?”

That’s the exact message that popped into our group chat at 11:13pm. Someone had screenshotted a ridiculous, slightly-too-spicy meme caption and slapped a sloppy mockup of it onto a tee. Two minutes later somebody else posted an emoji reaction, a third person asked, “A or B?” and someone four replies in: “I’d buy it. If you put it on a shirt I’d buy it right now.”

We laughed, made a dumb little poll, and then the internet did its thing. The poll filled up with votes and DMs asking how to buy — all before anyone had bothered to make a “real” product. The punchline wasn’t the design. The punchline was the demand: the community had already voted, vetted, and bought the idea in 30 minutes. That tiny, chaotic moment proved the whole premise — people don’t want polished catalog tees, they want the memes from their feed turned into shirts they actually want to wear.

So we stopped talking and started doing. We formalized the A vs. B mechanic, promised to keep the voice the same witty friend in your chat, and made one rule: if the internet votes for it, we’ll print it — spicy enough that malls won’t touch it, soft enough you’ll sleep in it.

In 2024, A or B Tees was born — in a group chat that accidentally turned a joke into a business plan.
